Your website has a job, regardless.
Signs Your Website Needs a Refresh.
Websites don’t age like wine. More like… milk. If yours hasn’t had a refresh in years, it might be holding you back.
Even if your website’s job is “not marketing,” it still has a job. It’s basically your digital storefront sign. People may not “convert” online… but they do check:
- Are you legit?
- Are you open / where are you?
- Do you carry what I need?
- Is it worth calling or driving there?
- Do you feel current and trustworthy?
If the site is slow, cluttered, hard to use on mobile, or feels outdated, they don’t always call to ask questions. They just bounce and try the next place.
Here are a few red flags:
- Fonts and colors that look dated
- Slow load times (hello, bounce rates)
- Not mobile-friendly
- No clear call-to-action
- You feel a little embarrassed sharing the link
If you nodded at more than one of those, it’s probably time for an update. The good news? A refresh doesn’t have to be overwhelming — sometimes small changes make the biggest impact.
